Although Ensley has a mixed bag with a higher crime rate and lower housing options until recently: in 2021, a more affordable housing action was passed to allow for more affordable homes to be built and available within this neighborhood. The average price of a home in Ensley is around $60,000 but may need extensive repairs.
Acipco-Finley
Rated as one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Birmingham, this is a quickly aging area of the city, with quiet streets and older businesses. Although this might not have the nightlife some people seek out, this area can be a great choice for anyone starting a family. The typical cost of homes in Acipco-Finley is $54,000, which is extraordinarily affordable.
Avondale
Avondale is a wonderful neighborhood that’s quickly growing.
